| | | | barbara jazzo barbara is a licensed and certified massage therapist with over 16 years practical experience. she graduated from the baltimore school for massage and studied massage in israel, mexico, and germany. she has continued her massage studies in the areas of term and pre-term infant massage therapy, pregnancy massage, neuromuscular therapy, and active isolated stretching. she currently teaches infant and pregnancy massage classes for the childbirth education department at george washington university hospital and georgetown hospital. she is responsible for training the nurses at the gw newborn intensive care unit in pre-term massage and exercise. barbara holds a bachelor of arts degree in rhetoric and communications and english from the state university of new york at albany. she is also certified by the american council on exercise as a personal trainer.

anne specializes in swedish and deep tissue massages and her
sessions are influenced by her knowledge of anatomy and
physiology but also by her background in Ayurveda and yoga.
anne is also certified in thai yoga body work through the
widely recognized lotus palm school. thai yoga is a dynamic
yet meditative form of body work that combines movement,
stretching and the manipulation of energy lines in the body
while the recipient relaxes in yoga-like movements and
poses. anne also is an ayurvedic lifestyle consultant.

brooke is a certified and licensed massage therapist. brooke received her nearly 800 hours of massage training from fuller school of massage therapy in virginia beach, virginia. She is also a graduate of the school's professional aromatherapist program. brooke specializes in swedish and deep tissue massage, but incorporates her training in a wide variety of modalities into her practice.

rae johnson is a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist. she completed the 18 month training program at potomac massage therapy institute in washington dc july 2007 where she received a strong foundation in swedish and deep tissue work. her continued massage areas of study include myofascial and structural work as well as orthopedic assessment. she has level ii reiki certification.
her philosophy about health and wellness has developed over the course of her 21 years as a registered nurse working collaboratively with practitioners and clients from diverse backgrounds in washington dc and central america. empowering clients to take an active role in their own well- being is a large part her approach as a massage therapist and healthcare provider. this requires support of the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of the whole person. she is thrilled to join a team of professionals concerned about the health and growth of clientele and staff in a nurturing space.

stanleymichell stanley is a licensed
clinical social worker and certified teacher through yoga alliance
(ryt-200). she has been practicing yoga for over 10 years while gaining
diverse clinical experience in working with dcs homeless and mentally ill
populations, public schools, court systems, and private practice healthcare.
her most recent career endeavor culminated in the successful implementation
of an innovative youth diversion program for the districts child welfare
and juvenile justice systems.
michells dynamic approach to therapy looks at ways to
enhance our lifes tool box to help people live the life they wish for.
although her treatment specializations include anxiety and mood disorders,
the concept of michells approach is working to create balance rather than
fixing something that is wrong. her role in sessions is to provide support

rachel is a usui and mahatma reiki master, as well as a
certified reflexology practitioner. she has also studied the use of
essential oils, which she often incorporates into a treatment session.
by using this powerful combination of reiki, reflexology and organic

physiological and emotional tension, as well as toxins that have built

PMTI, mary received 600 hours of extensive training in both swedish and
deep tissue massage, as well as many in-class hours focusing on anatomy,
physiology and kinesiology. after graduating, mary continued at pmti as
a teaching intern in deep tissue and swedish massage.
as a practioner, mary strongly believes that massage encourages good

amy is a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist specializing in swedish and deep tissue massage. she graduated from potomac massage training institute in 2007. she became interested in massage through her fascination with the mind-body connection and enjoys being able to work together with clients to help them find relaxation. through both her yoga practice and experience as a marathon runner, she is familiar with the physical challenges active people often face and is interested in helping clients improve muscle tightness, prevent injuries and repair tissue damage. she likes to incorporate stretching in her work and tailors every session to meet the client’s needs.

konomi is a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist and graduated from potomac massage training institute's 18-month program. she received 600 hours of comprehensive academic education including anatomy, physiology, pathology and kinesiolgy and extensive swedish and deep tissue massage training. konomi specializes in swedish, deep tissue and hot stone massage, and deeply respects the healing power of touch and massage to help relax, distress and work toward an inner balance of the body. she is fluent in japanese.
