please help keep tranquil space "tranquil"
through adherence to the following requests. it's
great to develop awareness both off and on the mat
of how we affect the world around us and how we can
best experience our own tranquil space within.
- when entering the studio:
breathe. let go. you've arrived!
- your yoga practice begins as soon
as you walk in the front door and greet the friendly
front desk team. lines can sometimes be long, but
by working together, arriving 15 minute before class
begins, breathing, and practicing patience, everyone
will get on the mat in a timely manner!
- we are a shoe free environment! please
remove your shoes and store in a cubby as soon as
you walk in. or, carry your shoes to the tea lounge
for storage.
- always sign in at the front desk
before entering the studio.

- the sky studio sign-in sheet is blue
like the sky, and the sky studio is upstairs (think
"high in the sky"). the sea studio sign-in
sheet is green like the sea and is located on the
same level as the office.
- some class times are more popular
than others; please arrive 10-15 minutes before
class begins. feel free to use our webscheduler
to secure a spot ahead of time. when you arrive
for class, initial by your pre-printed name on the
sign-in clipboard.
- you can schedule or cancel
a class online up to 1 hour before class starts.
no phone reservations or cancellations will be accepted.
if you see that a class is no longer available for
online sign-in, it doesn't mean the class is full
— just that the sign-up period has passed.
- please practice timeliness as each
class is organized with an initial centering, vinyasa
practice & relaxation. if you are late, wait
until the initial centering is complete and the
teacher opens the door to invite you into the studio.
- if possible, shower before your practice
and avoid wearing heavy perfumes. other yogis may
be allergic to such scents.
- wear comfortable clothing. please
bring a yoga mat, hand towel, and water if you have
them. if not, these items are available at the studio
for a fee.
- please turn off cell phones as we
are a cell phone free environment! no beeps, vibrations,
or lights please!
- the use of your own mat is encouraged,
as rental mats are not as hygienic.
- keep your valuables with you at all
times. although we are in a sacred yoga studio,
we still live in a metropolitan area.
- be mindful of how & where you
place your mat. align the center of your mat behind
a daisy on the floor, and graciously make space
for others.
- mention any pre-existing injury or
special condition to the teacher at the beginning
of the class so that he/she can help you.
- it is encouraged that you place a
tissue between the studio eyepillows and your eyes.
- neatly return blankets, eyepillows
& straps. return rental mats to the office.
throw used towels in the hamper outside the sea
studio.
- class passes are offered to reward
consistent practice. they are valid for 3 months
only with no extensions. all passes are non-refundable
and non-transferrable.
- practice self-compassion, find your
edge and take a breather if needed. let your practice
be a place of growth, challenge, and tranqulity.
- view
additional suggestions from yoga journal.

"we may think we're protecting
ourselves by denying our creative impulses,
but
all we're doing is burying our authentic selves
alive."
