lisa farmer richardslisa believes that yoga is the greatest metaphor for life — challenging us to be engaged yet relaxed on our journey. the more she teaches and studies the practice of yoga, the more she realizes how much there is to learn. lisa feels that regardless of how long you've practiced, whom you've practiced with or where, there is no greater teacher than yourself and she hopes to encourage the inner teacher in all of her students. yoga has made her thankful for the little things-the depth of the breath, the quiet that is possible in the mind, the strength and potential of the body, and probably most importantly, the power of each moment. after practicing almost every style of yoga, lisa was drawn to vinyasa because of its beautiful and invigorating dance like qualities. in her teaching, lisa is known for her off-beat sense of humor, compassion and humility. she is a graduate of the 200-hour teacher training at tranquil space, and has also trained with ana forrest, shiva rea, doug swenson and completed teacher training for pregnancy yoga. lisa is also proud to be a part of tranquil space's level 1 and level 2 teacher training where she encourages new teachers to find their own voices. lisa feels it's important to approach the mat with a lightheart, compassion and a sense of humor. she is very grateful to all of her students and her tranquil space family for providing such a fun and nurturing environment in which to practice and study.
