We are delighted to share that Tranquil Space is bringing tranquility to Arlington at our studio at 3528 Wilson Boulevard. We are conveniently located one block from the Virginia Square Metro station, with free off-street parking (see FAQs below for further details). Visit us in Arlington for one of our daily offerings.
Where is the Tranquil Space Arlington studio located?
Our address is 3528 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201. We are conveniently located one block from the Virginia Square Metro. Our entrance is near the back of the building. There is plenty of free street parking and an adjacent lot exclusively for our students.
When are classes offered?
We currently offer daily classes, our ongoing schedule is viewable here.
Will you offer more class times?
We plan to add additional class times in the future. Please let us know if you have suggestions by writing to email@example.com.
Is parking available?
There are a limited number of parking spots exclusively for Tranquil Space clients in the rear of the building. You may park in any of those spots for class during weekday evening and all weekend hours, but they frequently fill up, so we recommend arriving early. Metered parking is available up and down Wilson Blvd. and street parking is available within a block in any direction (see map below). No residential permit is needed after 5pm on weekdays or on weekends. Please do not park in the dry cleaners/7-11 parking lot - towing may be enforced.
Doors lock 15 minutes after class begins. We do not admit students after that time.

What levels do you offer in Arlington?
We offer the following class levels:
Yoga 1 - 75 minutes: a great introduction to the world of vinyasa yoga. Yoga 1 is a beginners class which incorporates the fundamentals of step-back sun salutations, standing poses, hip-openers, seated poses, twists, backbends, and basic inversions. Breathing exercises are explored as students begin to link movement through the postures with the inhale and exhale. Yoga 1 provides a nurturing environment to help you gain flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation. A perfect class for those new to yoga or anyone seeking a refresher on the basics of alignment and the vinyasa flow.
Yoga 2 - 75 minutes: a more vigorous class where a faster pace, more intense and challenging poses, and the addition of jump-backs and jump-forwards combine to take your practice to the next level. Surya namaskar (sun salutations) A and B, including chatarunga and upward-facing dog, are practiced in yoga 2. Strength-building standing poses are combined in creative vinyasa sequences. Deeper backbends, more complex balancing poses, and inversions are practiced. A strong foundation in the basics is encouraged.
On-the-go - 60 minutes: an invigorating all-levels flow for busy people. This one-hour class covers step-back sun salutations, standing poses, hip-openers, seated poses, twists, backbends, and basic inversions. Newer students can build a strong base while more seasoned yogis can take their chaturanga and backbends deeper with variations. Enjoy flexibility, strength, and tranquility.
Open flow - 75 minutes: an invigorating all-levels flow. This class covers step-back sun salutations, standing poses, hip-openers, seated poses, twists, backbends, and basic inversions. Newer students can build a strong base while more seasoned yogis can take their chaturanga and backbends deeper with variations. Gain flexibility, strength, and stamina. Think on-the-go plus 15 minutes of flow!
We also offer the following specialty classes:
Baby and me yoga (0-6 months) - 75 minutes: this baby and me yoga class is open to women in all stages of post-pregnancy. The teacher, carol collins, is a mom herself. She will guide you through vinyasa yoga to help you reconnect with your body. The community of moms in this class will nurture you emotionally during your journey as a new mother. This is a great opportunity to meet other moms, strengthen your core muscles, and play with your baby at the same time! Classes are for babies not yet crawling. Have questions? Prenatal yoga - 75 minutes: experience how yoga can support and empower you during your journey through pregnancy and towards parenthood with anne thiel, a certified prenatal yoga teacher and midwife. The practice of gentle vinyasa yoga coupled with breath work and meditation designed for expectant women will help you adjust to the changes of pregnancy; it will also help you prepare yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally for childbirth and labor and for your life as a parent. Our classes offer a space where you gain strength and flexibility, develop confidence and intuitive powers, and enhance your ability to relax. Restorative yoga - 75 minutes: the perfect end to your weekend as you relax over blankets in poses that restore your body and mind, and end with a yummy savasana/final relaxation. A peaceful and rejuvenating way to prepare for you week, all levels are welcome.
Yoga + meditation - 60 minutes: a 45-minute all-levels flow followed by 15 minutes of guided meditation. The asana portion of the class covers step-back sun salutations, standing poses, hip-openers, seated poses, twists, backbends, and basic inversions and will end with restorative poses to prepare the mind and body for meditation. The guided meditation portion will explore different techniques, including mindfulness (vipassana), lovingkindness (metta), mantra, and zen (zazen). Newer students can build a strong base in asana and meditation while more seasoned yogis can take their practice deeper.
What should I bring to class?
Please bring a positive attitude, open heart, yoga mat, hand towel and water. Mats ($2) and towels ($1) are available for rent. Blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters and eyepillows are provided.
Can I use my Dupont Circle pass at Arlington? How do i sign up ahead of time?
Tranquil Space class passes may be used at both locations, so you may use your Dupont Circle studio pass and online login for the Arlington location. Both Dupont Circle and Arlington are on the same webscheduler. Pre-registration (up to 1 hour before class start time) is allowed/encouraged in order to expedite check-in but is not required.
Do you have a place for yogis to change clothes before and after class?
Yes. We have a dedicated dressing area.
Do you have showers available for students to use after class?
No, we do not at the Arlington location.
Is there a boutique at Tranquil Space Arlington?
Yes, we offer mats, mat bags, Tranquil Space tees, and more.
Can children take classes at Tranquil Space?
Tranquil Space offers several classes catered to babies and children. All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times in our studios. For more information on our kids policies, click here.
